A shocking news in Trichy, a 34-year old pregnant woman died because of Police brutality.

When a couple, Usha and her husband Raja are traveling in a Two-wheeler to her friend’s wedding on Wednesday evening near the Headquarters of BHEL, Tiruchy-Thanjavur highway.

The police team asked them to stop because Raja was not wearing a helmet. But as they rushing to their Friend’s wedding, they refused to stop.

As they did not stop, inspector Kamaraj started chasing them on another bike. But after that Raja was finding a suitable spot to park his vehicle.The policemen were not able to catch them so after a short distance, he kicked their vehicle.

The bike then staggered and Raja and Usha fell down. Usha, who is a 3month pregnant woman left with severe head injuries and died on the spot. Raja also injured badly and was shifted to a hospital.

After this incident, thousands of public gathering and started to protest near the Trichy-Thanjavur highway and blocked the roads. The protestors demanded to take action against the brutal policeman Kamaraj.

Many vehicles in the area, including government buses, were also damaged during the protests. Due to this protest, the higher officials also said they would take necessary action against the policeman. But literally, this protest was continued for over four hours.
