Black Taj Mahal | True facts
We all heard about Black Taj Mahal, which is planned to be built on the exact opposite of Taj Mahal, with a black marble mausoleum across the Yamuna river.
We all know that the Taj Mahal is the world-famous architecture, which was built as the symbol of eternal Love by Shah Jahan. But think what if Black Taj Mahal have existed? Why Shah Jahan wants another Taj Mahal? All these questions were left unanswered.
The Black Taj Mahal myth is an intriguing mystery which has become a complementary part of the Taj Mahal.
The story behind Black Taj Mahal:
The European Traveller, Tavernier said in one of his Book, that Shah Jahan has even begun the construction of his tomb, Black Taj Mahal but left it incomplete. Because he was deposed and imprisoned by his younger son Aurangzeb in Agra Fort.
The book also reveals that Shah Jagan spent the last few years until his death as a prisoner, gazing at the Taj Mahal from a window in the Agra Fort.
But historians have dismissed the idea of a second Taj Mahal because, except Tavernier, there is no reference to it in the other contemporary accounts of the time. So many scholars believe that this Black Taj Mahal idea belongs to fiction and not a History.
But still, imaginations of two Taj Mahals facing each other on either side of the Yamuna River continues to fire the fascination of many people.
